iRIS is the electronic submission and review system that will be implemented by the University Hospitals Case Medical Center Institutional Review Board (IRB).

You can log into iRIS with your UH credentials (the username and password that gets you into your computer) or with your Case user id and password. If you do not have UH or Case credentials, contact Meghan Kulaszewski (meghan.kulas@uhhospitals.org or 216-844-7388) and an iRIS account will be created for you.

Introducing the UH Case Medical Center IRB Electronic Submission System: iRIS
This informational session will provide an overview of the new electronic IRB system that will be implemented, iRIS. General information about the system will be provided along with the rollout timeline and how you can obtain training in the new system.

UH Case Medical Center IRB-iRIS – Submitting a New Study
During this interactive session, participants will learn how to use iRIS to submit a new study to the UH Case Medical Center IRB. Each participant will have a computer workstation and can create a mock study to submit to the IRB, while following along with the instructor.
Detailed instruction will be provided for submitting a new study to the UH Case Medical Center IRB, including completing the application, attaching documents for your submission packet and routing the submission for proper signoff.

UH Case Medical Center IRB-iRIS-Investigator Signoff
During this interactive session, participants will learn how to use iRIS to complete principal investigator functions within the system. Each participant will have a computer workstation and follow along with the instructor to understand how you will be notified there is a submission waiting for sign-off as well as how to review, sign-off and submit the study to the UH Case Medical Center IRB.

During this interactive session, participants will learn how to use iRIS to submit an amendment, continuing review, adverse event or other submission to the UH Case Medical Center IRB. Each participant will have a computer workstation and follow along with the instructor to understand how to submit an amendment, continuing review, adverse event notification, or other submission forms. Attendees in this session should have previous experience working with iRIS or have attended the ‘Submitting a New Study’ session.
