Your Rainbow Expert: Richard Martin, M.D.
The Neonatal Center at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is widely regarded as playing a national and international leadership role in the care of premature and newly born infants.
Our reputation is the result of decades of providing the highest quality clinical care, developing and acquiring new therapies from well designed clinical trials, pursuing research studies and writing and editing the leading textbooks in the field.
I believe that some of our greatest strengths are the depth of knowledge we have gained in the past, and our deep commitment to our patients today and in the future. Many people in our division have worked together at Rainbow for years, driven by a passionate desire to better the lives of these tiny patients, many of whom are literally so small that we can hold them in the palms of our hands.
I am proud that the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has ranked as a national leader in achieving the highest survival rates for our babies, as well as the lowest rates of long- and short-term complications and health problems resulting from early birth.
Rest assured that if you and your baby come to Rainbow’s Center for Neonatology that you will be receiving some of the finest healthcare in the world for preemies and other newbies.
