The 4th Annual Black & Blue Ball Raises Funds for NOHF Programs and Services

May 15, 2009, was the date for The Northern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation's 4th Annual Black & Blue Ball. The event was held at Windows on the River, which provided a beautiful backdrop for close to 300 guests.

Abby Normal and the Detroit Lean raised the roof with their eclectic style, complete with a 3-man horn section. Other excitement during the evening included a 50/50 raffle, a wide-screen TV raffle and both silent and live auctions.

Emily Lewis of Westlake will walk 2 miles on her day of honor Sunday, a fraction of the distance she's traveled to fight a disease that threatens her life.

Diagnosed in 2006 at age 9 with a childhood kidney cancer, Emily has since endured grueling treatments.
