Isokinetic Testing – A Strength test that is performed at a constant speed and resistance. Allows for the comparison of R – L differences, anterior to posterior relationships and with healthy normal strength.
Work/Job Site – An analysis of the Work/Job site by a specialized therapist to determine physical requirements of the person to perform the job. Also will provide analysis of potential work related hazards and ergonomically correct job site planning.
MedX – A computerized strength-testing unit. A combination of isometric exercise and isotonic exercise for the low back. This rehabilitation and testing program is designed to develop full range of motion, improve overall strength, and improve flexion/extension ratios. The program consists of 16 visits over 16 weeks. Workout times ore approximately 10 =- 15 min.
Promotron – A computerized strength testing and job site analyses unit. Compares results to National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines for work restrictions via Job Strength Index.
Functional Testing – Testing identified essential to support physical requirements of activity. Testing can be used in the athletic, industrial and leisure populations to assess a starting baseline, progress with conditioning programs, and determine an appropriate return from post injury. Examples of tests include: Vertical Jump, Horizontal Jump, Power Quotient, and Timed “T” Test
FCE – An acronym for Functional Capacity evaluation. It is a compilation of testing to assess a patient’s ability to return to work.
Biodex Balance System – The Biodex balance unit is a computerized stand-up unit uses for testing and identifying potential fall candidates. Balance training consists of proprioception and stabilization exercises, range of motion, and weight shift activities; this is a unique unit with a firm surface, which progresses to a safely controlled degree of surface instability. It is a fun and challenging activity with immediate results and feedback.
The Unicam Biofeedback and Balance System – The UniCam biofeedback system provides a variety of assessment modes used to establish relative weight distribution. It is also used to provide biofeedback while exercising, or to monitor repetitive exercises. It is a portable system consisting of two flexible sensor pads and a laptop computer. It can be used on it’s own or in conjunction with other equipment and is useful for functional exercises, upper body exercise, sitting to standing exercises, golf and other sports applications.
