The Clinical Trials Unit continues to grow and increase funding in clinical research to enhance the UH Neurological Institute.

More than 25 clinical trials have been added as part of the full integration and expansion of the unit as well as a defined organizational structure and recruitment of regulatory support and additional research nurses.

The unit is coordinating clinical trials for the following centers:

• Brain Tumor and Neuro-Oncology (in collaboration with the UH Ireland Cancer Center)
• Epilepsy
• Memory and Cognition
• Neuromuscular
• Spinal Neurosurgery
• Stroke and Cerebrovascular
