Introduction
The Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship is a three-year comprehensive clinical and research training program with the primary goal of training academic physicians committed to the care of children with kidney disease. In concert with this goal is the desire to foster the clinical and basic research skills required to make significant contributions to our understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of these disease processes. Our program combines inpatient and outpatient experiences, didactic lectures and conferences and exciting opportunities in clinical and basic science research.   The first year of training focuses primarily on clinical experiences, whereas the second and third years are primarily research.  However, both clinical and research experiences are integrated into all three years of the program.  Each year is divided into 13 four-week blocks, consisting of 12 clinical or research blocks and one vacation block.
