The Department of Dermatology is one of the top centers of excellence worldwide in skin research and in bringing state-of-the-art findings to help patients with skin diseases.

The Department's efforts span basic biology of the skin, mechanisms of clinical disease, human in vivo skin function, clinical trials, premier patient care, and teaching. We offer specialty programs for rare diseases as well as excellent general dermatology.

The Department is responsible for the education of medical and graduate students at Case Western Reserve University, for basic science and clinical research, and for the combined Dermatology Residency Program.
