A Senior Project takes place from 5-30 days for a total of 100 hours or less. It can be considered an extended observation. The Observer must complete an application (signed also by a parent or guardian if under age 18) and a Consent for Participation form. Since the Observer will be at University Hospitals Case Medical Center for more than one day, a tuberculosis screening is required. A screening completed in the last 12 months is acceptable. If one is needed, it will be provided at no charge. The Observer must complete an orientation before beginning. This can be in person or as a self study, usually depending on the area of observation. Volunteer Services will pay for Senior Project parking. For certain specialized Senior Project placements, there may be additional requirements, such as an essay.
