A healthcare environment is an ideal arena for furthering medical education at all levels, and in multidisciplinary sciences. Collaborating with institutions of higher learning and community service agencies, opportunities to further education in direct healthcare, as well as related industries, abound at University Hospitals. UH is alive with opportunities that exist at all locations as well as at partnering educational institutions.

David Satcher Clerkship: The Treasures of Diversity

Joining with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Cleveland Foundation, National Medical Fellowship, Inc., The National Institutes of Health and the Commonwealth Fund, UH CMC makes an active commitment in the development of a dynamic and diverse healthcare professional team to better represent and serve the all-inclusive population of this, and all, communities.

Continuing Medical Education (CME): The Future is Now
Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, University Hospitals' CME Program provides clinically focused CME for primary care physicians, specialists and for the healthcare professionals who team with them. The primary goal of CME is to support the continuous improvement of patient care and to develop and sponsor education to support clinical integration among affiliate institutions. CME Programs are offered at diverse venues that include points of service, locations in the Northeast Ohio region, national destination locations and video conferencing.
Community Education: Taking the Hospital to the Patient
The closest thing to house calls in healthcare is Community Education. Informational presentations and hands-on classes, seminars and group participation programs stimulate the active participation of the members of the general community to take a closer look at their health. Classes include yoga, aquatic exercise groups, caregiver support group meetings, diabetes support groups, diverse cancer support groups, wellness classes, nutrition classes, birthing classes and seminars, bereavement support groups, CPR classes, arthritis exercise sessions, senior lunch and learn groups, and many more! Favorite classes are repeated and new topics are added on a regular basis. To view even more topics and dates of all of these great programs,
